Experimental Study on the Cracking Resistance of Asphalt Mixture with Different Degrees of Aging

The cracking resistance of asphalt mixture is a non-negligible issue. However, the evolution law, motivated by two factors (thermos-oxidative aging degree and test temperature), not yet well understood. aim this investigation to gain more insight into effect thermos-oxidative temperature on mixture. Asphalt (AC-13) stone mastic (SMA-13) were selected exposed different thermo-oxidative degrees (unaging (UA); short-term (STOA); long-term for 2/5/8 days (LTOA2d/LTOA5d/LTOA8d)). A direct tension at temperatures (10 °C, 20 30 40 °C) was adopted obtain their stress–strain curves evaluation indexes (tensile strength, ultimate strain, pre-peak strain energy density, post-peak density). comprehensive index-cracking index (CRI) established entropy weight method combined with technique order preference similarity ideal solution (TOPSIS) corresponding coefficient determined. results showed that STOA can increase mixture, thereby boosting resistance.
